Feeling fantastic every day has a lot to do with the things you spend your time doing. If you spend your time doing things that are draining you, such as spending a disproportionate amount of time caring for others, spending time with toxic people, or doing work that isn’t meaningful to you, then it’s no wonder you don’t feel fantastic. Yet people do all of those things and still wonder why they don’t feel their best. Below there are 7 things you may not have considered if you want to feel fantastic as often as possible. Take a look and see if there’s anything that you can change!
Are You Getting Enough High Quality Sleep?
High quality sleep will have a lot to do with how you feel and perform during the day. It doesn’t matter if you’re in bed if you’re not getting quality sleep. Sleep and quality sleep are two different things. To get quality sleep, there are a few things you can do. These include:
- Making sure you go to bed and get up at the same time every day.
- Having a wind down routine so that you’re tired when you get into bed.
- No technology an hour or two before bed.
- Dim the lights before bed and sleep in total darkness.
- Make sure your bedding is suitable to your skin type and other needs.
If you’re unsure as to whether your sleep is high quality, then you may want to get a tracker to give you a better idea.
Are You Putting The Right Things Into Your Body Consistently?
Putting the right things into your body is also essential, but you have to be consistent. It’s no good eating a salad once a week, or even some vegetables a couple of times a week. You need to make sure you’re being as consistent as you can. Of course you can have a treat here and there, but for the most part, you should be making sure you’re only putting things designed to fuel you and feel great into your body. Eat a balanced diet, get plenty of micronutrients, and look at using supplements. Supplements can be taken different ways, including with a herbal vaporizer depending on what you prefer.
Are You Being Active Enough?
Getting active and staying active is crucial to your well being. The endorphins that are released when we exercise make us feel good. Find something you really love doing and stick to it, even if it’s just walking. Ash and I love to go on long walks and take in all the small things that we normally don’t have time to pay attention to.
Are You Spending Time With People That You Love?
Social media, texting and email are all great for keeping in touch, however, they are a poor substitute for real life encounters. Don’t lose your connection with the people you love. Connection is what makes us feel great, and a part of something much bigger than ourselves. Reach out to those in your circle and spend some time in the real world with them, it will make you feel fantastic.
One final question to ask: do you love yourself? If you don’t love yourself, who will? It sounds so easy, but we all know it’s much harder than just doing it. Spend some time getting to know who you really are, and take it one step at a time. Be kinder to yourself and learn to be your own best friend!
