There are always going to be days where you may not feel at your best. I know that these are the days where we can feel like not getting out of bed and facing the world, that things just feel that extra bit tough and everything is an effort. We can all have those days where we feel lethargic and low on energy, and often our mood is one of the big indicators of how we are feeling. The truth is, it is totally normal to have those days. But you can switch things up a little and try and get yourself out of the pit.
So how can you do it? The trick is to help yourself feel good and feel fabulous, and there are things that you can do to give yourself the boost in confidence that you need to take on the day. I wanted to share with you what some of them are. I hope it gives you the incentive and motivation you need to change the way you feel.
Time for a fresh new look
Sometimes the best place is to start would be with a fresh new look, and there any many subtle ways you can do this. For starters, you may be someone who wears glasses daily, of course, to help you see more clearer. But, why not change things up a little and invest in contact lenses instead? Companies like Bausch & Lomb can make things really easy for you. Taking glasses off your face can transform the way you look. You might also want to look at a refresh of your wardrobe, maybe treat yourself to some new bits if you can afford it. Also changing your lifestyle and exercising more regularly and eating better could also have a dramatic effect on how you look. From your skin tone and condition to losing a few pounds. There are plenty of things you can do to give yourself a fresh new look.
Change your hair
Your hair is one of the easiest things you can do to help you feel fabulous once more. It might be a simple blow dry from the hairdressers, or even going in for the chop or a colour change. Your hair can change the way your face looks, and also give you the confidence you are after. Booking in to get it done will give you time to look through magazines and online for some hair inspiration.
Try new makeup techniques
Makeup is one of those things that people either love or hate. But if you do enjoy putting some on each day, then you may be inclined to try some new makeup techniques. This could be anything from a smokey eye where you follow a YouTube tutorial for the perfect eyeliner application. You may try contouring and seeing the difference it could make, or even focus on getting a flawless look with your foundations and concealer application. There are plenty of things that you can do and Instagram and YouTube are full of ideas for you to try.
Shop your wardrobe
Not all of us have the opportunity to go out and buy new things. Some of us just don’t have the budget, but having said that we all can get stuck in a rut of wearing the same things day in day out, sound familiar? So why not delve into your wardrobe and see what you can find? Actually taking away clothes you won’t be wearing, such as summer clothes and blowing them away for next year will give you more space. It will also enable you to find forgotten items. Organising your wardrobe can give you the inspiration to try new things and also feel like you have more to choose from, as ironic as that sounds.
Work on your mindset
Finally, the way you feel has a lot to do with your mindset. So you may want to start thinking about how you are thinking in terms of how you are feeling. If you are thinking negatively then this is going to have a knock on effect on how you are feeling. Try and focus on being more positive. It may sound silly, but looking at yourself in the mirror and only focusing on positive compliments can really help you to look at yourself in a different way. Confidence is something that we can grow, and often it comes with a change of mindset. It can then change your thinking in other ways.
I hope that this has given you something to think about when it comes to helping you feel fabulous.
